some Operation Rescue Fucktard's response to Gwyneth and her mom supporting Planned Parenthood

“I just don’t understand what the disconnect is for some people. Abortion is muder & it doesn’t make it any less murder because 2 idiot celebrities endorse it”

–1. G.K. Chesterson (noted Catholic thinker), wrote that when people stop believing in God, they don’t start believing in nothing; instead, they start believing in anything. He was correct. If you don’t have God as the focus of your life, you’ll wind up believing in, and standing for, just about anything. Many people today have stand-ins for God in their lives. Those stand-ins can be inherently bad, like drugs, porn, etc. But they can also include seemingly noble causes like defending the Constitution, the environment, free speech or other freedoms; prisoners’ rights, tort reform, controlling big government/corporations, or whatever — but without a focus on God, all those ideals mean nothing. Some people just don’t figure that out, and all the intellect is no help. That lack of “getting it,” IMHO, is why so many weirdos believe in crystals, astrology, new age bunk, etc.; those things are just poor stand-ins for a relationship with God. So there’s one “disconnect.”

–2. Also, the “disconnect” is sometimes deliberate IMHO. Being pro-life may require one to be, at times, any or all of self-sacrificing, courageous, giving, able to live outside oneself, etc. Some people just don’t want to be those things. Imagine how Gwynneth’s pro-abort Hollywood friends would look at her if she said she was pro-life. She’d be a laughingstock in their confused eyes. I’m sure some would rather be popular, glamorous, make big money, etc., than do the right thing. Too bad someone upstairs is watching, Gwynneth.

G’day all,
Frank
