fun wow moment of the day

Playing World of Warcraft - in-zone chat comes across my screen: "that is so gaaaaaaaaay."

So I respond, in-zone chat: "You say gay like it's a bad thing....silly boy."

Other chatters response: "LOL", also "ROFL"

Original chatter's response a minute later: "Sorry."

I love that. :)

Best quote I've seen today.

"Boy, I've never seen an issue so divisive. It's like a civil war, isn't it? Even amongst my friends, who are all very intelligent; they're totally divided on abortion. It's unbelievable. Some of my friends, for instance, think these pro-life people are annoying idiots. Other of my friends think these pro-life people…are evil fucks. How are we going to come to a consensus? You ought to hear the arguments around my house: 'They're annoying, they're idiots.' 'They're evil, they're fucks!' Brothers, sisters, come together! Can't we once just join hands and think of them as evil-annoying-idiot-fucks? I beseech you."

issues with change.

No, not quarters and dimes. I am realizing that sources of frustration for me continue to be associated with change. I work pretty hard to get things in order, because I just like to be that way, and then once I get things figured and possibly printed off, one minute later a person will throw a wrench in my works. This is a constant stressor for me. Every single part of my job is filled with constant change. It's driving me bats. I wish I could be better with this, but it wears me down over time. Today I had to work on schedules, and it occurred to me that people who work for me want a flexible schedule where this is not an option. I have to make things work because otherwise I won't have staff, so I'm at their mercy. I work on certain assumptions about times that need to be filled, and as soon as it's worked up then someone throws me a change. I arrange my own schedule and then have to redo it constantly to cover other people's shortcomings. I will make a plan for something...anything...and for some reason I will have to change it to accomodate others. I will just toss in that I'm REALLY FUCKING loathe to make others accomodate me. I'm becoming ill with frustration about staffing issues. I don't want to do this anymore this week. I'm really fucking sick of my job right now and can't really deal with ONE more crisis that I have to fix, and when I do it's been a useless effort because someone will have fucked it up and I have to restart from scratch. Then when I fix that, it'll be for naught again and I'm back to scratch. I feel like fucking Sisyphus. I think I need a serious break from work. I was sick this week and couldn't deal physically and now I'm having trouble dealing mentally.

I want for something that I do to MATTER. I want for something that I do to NOT be fucked up and a waste of time.

Hoka Hey, Motherfuckers!!

I love where they say they traded away Manhattan for trinkets, and are going to buy it back one burger at a time.

dangers of tanning not UV rays!

So I was having a great time. I went into a tanning bed at my local place on a very cold day and spent 12 minutes getting warm under the lights. It was fabulous. After I was done I got dressed and sat down to put on my shoes. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a HEAD looking down into my ROOM from the next booth over!! WHAT THE FUCK??!! I shrieked, and ran out into the hall way to catch the creep running away, and saw an employee outside the rooms. She asked me what happened, and told her that some Peeping Tom was looking into my room as I was getting dressed. She said that there was a man in that room - a male customer. I said, well yeah, ya think?? And when he didn't come out right away we went to see how many minutes he had left to tan. The lights had gone on right as we knocked on the door. On the screen it said Jordan (somebody, I forget now) and he had eight minutes to go. Well of course I called the cops, and they came and interviewed us. The cop looked at the rooms, and saw the shoe marks on the chair and the drywall that was messed up on the room the man was in. Jordan may have been laughing when the tanning salon women told him he needed to wait for the police, but he sure wasn't laughing when they ARRESTED his punk ass and took him off to jail in HANDCUFFS.

I freaking HOPE he saw me naked; Scar HIM for life. =P

Bill is the Hierophant!

You are The Hierophant

Divine Wisdom. Manifestation. Explanation. Teaching.

All things relating to education, patience, help from superiors. The Hierophant is often considered to be a Guardian Angel.

The Hierophant's purpose is to bring the spiritual down to Earth. Where the High Priestess between her two pillars deals with realms beyond this Earth, the Hierophant (or High Priest) deals with worldly problems. He is well suited to do this because he strives to create harmony and peace in the midst of a crisis. The Hierophant's only problem is that he can be stubborn and hidebound. At his best, he is wise and soothing, at his worst, he is an unbending traditionalist.
