Woman is the N****r of the World
John Lennon
Woman is the n****r of the world
Yes she is...think about it
Woman is the n****r of the world
Think about it...do something about itWe make her paint her face and dance
If she won’t be a slave, we say that she don’t love us
If she’s real, we say she’s trying to be a man
While putting her down we pretend that she is above usWoman is the n****r of the world...yes she is
If you don’t believe me take a look at the one you’re with
Woman is the slave of the slaves
Ah yeah...better scream about itWe make her bear and raise our children
And then we leave her flat for being a fat old mother then
We tell her home is the only place she would be
Then we complain that she’s too unworldly to be our friendWoman is the n****r of the world...yes she is
If you don’t believe me take a look at the one you’re with
Woman is the slave of the slaves
Yeah (think about it)We insult her everyday on TV
And wonder why she has no guts or confidence
When she’s young we kill her will to be free
While telling her not to be so smart we put her down for being so dumbWoman is the n****rof the world...yes she is
If you don’t believe me take a look at the one you’re with
Woman is the slaves of the slaves
Yes she is...if you believe me, you better scream about it.We make her paint her face and dance
We make her paint her face and dance
We make her paint her face and danceIf you're offended by Lennon's use of the "n" word,
read this.I censored my own damn blog because I personally do not like the word, but I can get behind a lot of John's (and Yoko's because the phrase was hers) statements in the song. And if I do it, is it considered censorship? Food for thought.

guitar for dummies!
So, yep! This is what I'm using - the dvd for dummies version. I'm proud to say that I've learned enough chords to be in a band! Well, a BAD ONE. It's harder to sing along than I previously thought. And, my fingers HURT. Damn!Otherwise life is good - the BF and I got back to the gym and I'm "...feeling stronger evvvvery day!" (Name that tune, Homey!) ;)
Work is okay - nothing is really stressing me out which is a good thing. I have been in the throes of a weird antibiotic-Crohn's pain icky bout all day so about 3pm I had to leave work and pass out until another round of cramps and pain and not leaving the bathroom.
But! The reason I had to take antibiotics is because I went for my regular dental cleaning and I got another pass from the doctor!!

No cavities!! I'm really diggin that. No visits until December. Wahoo!

I'm so hungover. WORTH IT!!
My honey loves surf guitar. I do too. As we were biking around Madison yesterday I saw a flyer up that said Dick Dale was going to be at the High Noon!
I said, Honey! Dick Dale, Tonight!
He said, "That's it, we're goin', that's all there is to it, we're fuckin' goin'. " (If you don't recognize this quote, then you may want to re-watch Pulp Fiction.)
We like the High Noon and go there when we know someone who's playing a gig. We biked over and stood in line for a while, and finally they let us in. There were tons of Baby Boomers replete with Jimmy Buffet-Wear (flowered shirts) and also some weirdos that I really enjoyed mocking. There was the Kid Rock impersonator (I shit you not), and what Bill referred to as the "Peg Bundy Meets Trailerpark) if that's not already synonymous.
We drank wayyyyyy too much and then biked home in the cold. I had to wear multiple layers plus his beret because even with the obscene amount of alcohol in me I was shivering and my teeth were chattering too much for me to keep pedaling. It's May, WTF? Anyhoo - We got home roughly around 2:30am, and slept in. Coffee's helping but god-DAMN I don't need to remember how drunk I got. Heh.
Dick Dale, y'all!
